Mansfield Street Rozelle / The Castle- adapting a heritage building

This project was to update an existing 1900‘s shop and residence. We were engaged to construct two new residences around the existing heritage shop. There were two significant challenges. Structurally we had to ensure the stability of the old shop and then reinforce it to meet current standards. Commercially our clients required the minimum closure time for the shop. By carefully planning the stages of project we were able to ensure the shop was open and trading within 10 weeks before going on to complete the residential units.
